Students and Parents Say …
Parent of Class of 2024 High School Senior (UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television – Class of 2028):
“Thank you so much for sharing with us your experience and knowledge about the process. It made a huge difference. It was not only helpful but also fun to have you as a counselor.”
Parent of Class of 2024 High School Senior (U.C. Santa Cruz – Class of 2028):
“[My son] has had the best experience with you as his coach. A perfect fit. We are all very appreciative of your approach and kindness.”
Parent of Class of 2021 High School Senior (U.C. Santa Barbara – Class of 2025):
“Thank you for your thorough review and comments. I just want to say how inspired and pleased [my daughter] and I have been while working with you. You are a great counselor. Your smile, upbeat and encouraging attitude, insightful and informed reflections, have been so important for us, especially during these very difficult times for our world.”
Parent of Class of 2019 High School Senior (University of Chicago – Class of 2023):
“You made the effort to get to know [our son], and delivered honest assessments that challenged us all. You helped shape his course choices and emphasized the importance of extracurriculars. I appreciate the time, effort, knowledge, and careful observation you brought to bear…. While luck certainly plays a role in college admissions, your assistance helped reduce the caprice by delivering on every key element within his control.”
2017 High School Senior (Johns Hopkins University – Class of 2021):
“This has been a long process, and I’m so grateful for your attention and dedication. You kept things realistic, which may have been disheartening, but it allowed me to focus on achievable goals. I have greatly enjoyed all our meetings and contact, and I’m very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with such an efficient, knowledgeable and helpful advisor…. You have made an incredibly stressful process a much easier one, and I can’t thank you enough.”

23 Years of Experience
in a Changing World …
“My daughter has lots of different ideas and wasn’t committed to getting great grades when we first met Wendy. Wendy gently got her to talk about what SHE loved and didn’t love, what was important to HER about the rest of her life, and, most importantly, what kind of environment was helpful for her to learn in. (This turned out to be important for me, as I kept locking horns with my daughter about what kind of college she should aim for.) Wendy delights in what makes each student unique and her enthusiasm really helped my daughter open up and take charge of the process. … After she met with Wendy, she worked her tail off in her junior year and got straight A’s for the year. Then she said, ‘Mom, I can’t figure out why it didn’t mean anything to me when YOU said A’s were important and yet when Wendy said they were important, I did it.’’’
