SESSION #1: DISCUSS
(late fall/winter/spring of junior year)
- Review high school transcript
- Discuss academic and extracurricular interests and passions
- Plan course selection for the senior year
- Review testing options/proposed testing calendar
- Develop a list of target colleges
- Focus the college search and share research tools
SESSION #2: SPRING CHECK-IN
(spring of junior year; billed at hourly rate)
- Review research done to date on preliminary college list
- Discuss creation of an extracurricular profile + summer essay/application work
SESSION #3: DISTILL
(summer between junior and senior year)
- Review transcript/test scores
- Hone student’s research/college search into final college list
- Discuss application procedures and fall organizational tools
- Create fall application timeline
SESSION #4: DRAFT/REVISE:
(summer between junior and senior year)
- Attend Summer Essay Writing Workshop
- and/or begin one-on-one essay brainstorming, drafting,
and review of application essays with an essay editor
SESSION #5: FINALIZE
(application session in fall of senior year)
- Complete two college applications of your student’s choice
